Possibly looking for a hunting partner!!

I am toying with the idea. I normally hunt alone and for good reason.My luck with hunting partners in the past has been frustrating.However i know there can be some advantages to hunting with another person. I have lots of property to hunt so im not looking for somebody to reveal their spots to me. Im looking to hook up with someone in a similar situation so we can both make the most of hunting oportunities.

Criteria!!

You must already have land to hunt! If your looking for someone to show you their spots cause you dont have any of your own move on cause it isnt happening!!

Must be mature, ethical, safety contious and respectfull of others.

Must be reliable.

Must LOVE to hunt.

Far from it ! I hunt alone by choice, other than the moose hunting group im in. If i,m douchy for not wanting to take someone to my spots only to have them start showing up there behind my back doing stuff like leaving garbage behind or shooting at everything that moves and ruining it for me than so be it. It took me 5 yrs to build a repor with the land owner and get access to all his properties.I now have acess to 375 acres of land and i,m not about to throw it away. Ive read too many stories of people who have taken others to hunt their spots only to be burned. I also dont want to waste my time hunting with people who are unreliable and careless. Been there done it. Hunting with others can be quite enjoyable. It can also be downright dangerous. So i thought i'd put it out there , but if it doesnt pan out than no biggy. Your entitled to your opinion but judging by your comments you sound like just the kind of person i,m NOT looking for.

Your comments although for the most part true, kinda come across as a guy with a glass half empty. I too have access to thousands of acres of private property but I choose to find my partners thorugh word of mouth and friends. Rather than coming on an internet form with a bunch of demands. Welcome to the forum, and good luck in your quest.

I don't think the "criteria" is unreasonable, just the delivery of message a bit off-putting perhaps. Behind the tone of the OP's post is a somewhat generous offer though, so, welcome to the forum BC! :) Remember.... potential "takers" might have the same concerns, and are equally wary of you and their own land.

How do we know you not just looking to take their spot's ? ;)

I have tons of land and occasionally offer to take someone out after meet them.

Just your negative attitude gives me bad vibes.

Starting a friendship / partnership with a long list of rules and demands rather than meeting and determining their qualities may be what's throwing people off. Yes but the way I interpret his comment is he doesn't plan to share his land but want's access to someone else. Maybe if he had worded it differently with a different tone. But his intent was to come off as extremely aggressive and rude as possible.

Just by his attitude he would be the last person I would show any land to. But eh to each his own.
