I certainly hope hound owners feel comfortable in the Sporting Dog section. I wanted it to be called " gun dogs " for that very reason, so hound dogs and other dogs that work for the gun - like hunting terriers - would feel welcome. As you know the "Sporting Breed " category in CKC and AKC is very narrow,

Why just Branko's?

I owned a beagle many years ago and loved winter bunny hunting. If I was to buy a second dog it would likely be a beagle so we could hunt after bird season closes. I always read any threads around here about hounds, bring it on.

I am not on facebook but I have 3 excellent running Beagles on cottontails.

Did you see that hound leader pick up the back-tracked scent? Is that your best dog?

Actually the oldest and only male.
Right now I have a 2 yr. old and 3 yr old females (mom and daughter) plus the male.
Grandma who was behind all the time on the video, I gave away a couple yrs. ago.

The ones I have are now are so much the same in ability and speed that it is so good seeing them work together, meaning I'm keeping them intact for a while yet.
As soon as I get a break I'll be posting some more recently taken video.

I started the Branko's group because I was surprised that there was not such a group yet with so much of their blood out there. I am interested in all beagles....not so much Brace beagles but that's another topic.
