When I go to maps.google.com the borders of Algonquin appear wavy (see here for example). Now on Google earth its straight. I've also walked the park border and it's more or less straight. Seems to me that these wavy lines are off by about 100m.
Is this a new thing? Any ideas why this is?
Those boundaries look about right to me.
I've found places where the marked boundaries are about by about 75m according to GPS - where there is a specific identifiable feature.

google maps is more of quantity over quality.
Google maps should never be taken as "dead-on" accurate. Some show eastern boundaries as extending to the west shores of Hay and Cranberry Lakes in Clyde and Bruton townships which is completely inaccurate. Those boundaries are still where they always have been, for decades. Nothing has changed......yet,until the The Algonquin Land Claim is finalized.Quote:
