7th aniversary... the meat aniversary?

well i think i definately got a special one :) wife and i celabrated our 7th aniversary yesterday by butchering a deer :)

came upon the deer friday, seen it laying in the ditch, stopped and checked it out and it wasnt frozen (current temp was -12 and had bin -21 that morning) so loaded it on up, took it home, and gutted it... guts still warm :) (reported it)

only ended up getting the front shoulders out of it though, took a direct hit to the hind end, got a bit of meat here and there from the back, but pretty well, from the ribs back she was bad... but ended up with 30 lbs of sausage/burger meat...

Nice that you managed to salvage some meat from the deer. Also great that your wife is so involved.

Seems a little negative here. Rather look on it as manna form heaven. On a side note title of this thread seemed a little X rated

and to think, 7 years ago she wouldnt even eat deer meat, now shes helpin butcher it :)
