Hey I am new to the forum and was hoping that you guys out there could give me sum pointers on coyote hunting I have been out before but haven't had the best of luck right now I'm using mouth calls howls rabbit distress calls and I have a decoy of a standing coyote that I try from time to time really hoping with ur help I will have better luck thanks.
Best thing to do in that area is to find hunters that hunt with hounds up there and ask to hunt.

I have been confronted by the OFAH in conjunction with the Ontario Farmers . to join in on two workshops that they are planning for the areas of Owensound January 17 and Peterbough January 24 . These are all day with a number of speakers on different relations fields of the Coyotes.
I will be doing the Calling and Hunting part.
The OFAH is looking after the booking end of it as they are the ones setting it up.

Read as much as you can and get out there to make your rookie mistakes. Best advice is play the wind. Dont go if the wind will blow into the area you are expecting them to come from. Your coyote decoy is great i have one too. Use a moving rabbit decoy with it cause they are always scanning for movement and you will be able to get up and dance once they have locked on to the rabbit. Call very quiet for the first 15 minutes. Dress as warm as possible so u can keep still. Good luck.
