2014: So long and thanks for all the fish!

With the sun now risen on a new year and my hangover wearing off, just wanted to acknowledge the fish that made 2014 my first somewhat successful year of fishing (other than the lakers of spring 2013). None of this will be impressive by general standards but for a beginner like me, a lot of this is first-time species. Be warned; its an addiction. Just when you think your safe, ice forms and a whole new world of fishing comes alive. You lay awake at night thinking of lure setups. You can't pass the fishing aisles of Canadian Tire without browsing for a bit (usually culminating in spending money on something you already have 4 of).

Haha trust me blasted_saber I'm there already, just ask Canadian Tire. I've actually been fishing actively since summer of 2012, but caught nothing but chubs and a few dink smallies that year; the next spring I had a good laker trip in Algonquin but caught nothing notable the rest of the year. This year was just when the addiction slowly started paying off... coming from mostly non-fishing circles the learning is a little slower, and I still have a ways to go, with most discussions of complicated lure setups still going over my head, but maybe I'm starting to get somewhere. I really appreciate all the help/advice/feedback from all of you on the forums.
