And there are follow on stories but the organizers are sticking to their plan - my applause. The antis are quoting silly ways to deal with coyotes.

I have discussed coyote hunting with coyote watch Canada's Leslie sampson.
They are very well educated but unfortunately not very educated in farming or the farming life.
There point of view is farmers must do what they can to avoid confrontation with coyotes,,, regardless of the cost to farmers,,,,,,,there not living in the real world.

I don't believe 71000 coyotes were shot in saskatchawan either

I too have had discussions with that organization. Probably not as polite as the one you had!

Every coyote incident is HUMAN FAULT! It's always our fault for the attack. Walking in the woods, on a trail, in our own backyard, dogs on a leash, at schoolyards, etc etc etc.

It's never the coyotes fault! The canned, rehearsed reply is that someone, somewhere is feeding the coyote.
The organization will just never come to grips that these Ontario coyote, brush wolves, coy-dogs, whatever are an INVASIVE SPECIES!

They did not exist in Ontario until the late 60's early 70's. Our predator landscape was wolves up north and foxes province wide!

I'm surprised our nitwit gov't/MNR doesn't protect them like they do with the cormorants!

I,too,have had a face-to-face with Sampson. It wasn't a long conversation,but,it was cordial. I can sure tell a whack job when I meet one. LOL
