The Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club held its annual coyote hunt - one guy got $8,055 for having the heaviest one and another guy got $11,089 for getting the second and third heaviest ones - a total of 3,978 guys entered into the hunt - they got 162 coyotes - the heaviest coyote weighed in at 51 pounds - there are a number of different coyote hunts that are held each year in Pa. - the hunt was held the weekend of Feb 20 - 22 2015
Wow, almost 4,000 hunters and only 162 coyotes..... those are not good odds.....what happened, did most not show up.... that is not a good ratio at all....

Well there could be several reasons - one thing the weather was really bad - snow, ice and real cold weather - it was only held for a couple days - or maybe our coyotes are smarter because of being hunted more - also I think that you have a lot more coyotes up there - the winner said he brought in three coyotes with a female sounding call but only shot the big one - some guys used dogs and others just calls - there were several other hunts that took place but this one is the biggest -Quote:
