Made The Switch!
Well, after being a loyal RIM/BlackBerry customer for almost 10 years, and having almost every device they have made (from the original paging device, to the silver calculator phone, up through to the Z10) I have made the switch.
My Z10 came to its demise on Wednesday when I shattered the screen, and could do nothing with the phone except make and answer calls from the cards Bluetooth.
After debating my options, and considering the upcoming release of the new Samsung Galaxy, I opted for the iPhone 6 Plus 128GB.
Got it home, updated the software, and then did a reset on it, set all my customizations / options, got it connected to work and configured for that, then started with the apps.
Which is the main reason I dumped BB, no apps anymore...
Nice to have Tapatalk back!, and iHunter is really impressive, Got a couple cool DU apps as well, a nice journal to document your waterfowl hunts, with locations, pictures, write ups, weather etc... and another one with a nice bird ID guide.
The size of the phone is taking a bit of getting use to, but the screen clarity is second to none (as expected from apple) and while the screen on the Z10 was large, the resolution was no where near what this is, and allot less scrolling required when reading e-mail.
Now just need to get a case for it :)

It's about time you got with the times :) wife got the 6+ and I went with the 5 when we upgraded this past Christmas. Never had a BB but I don't think I would change from the iPhone, just so easy to use

I have always used the BB and honestly really don't use many Apps anyway. That said I use the camera a fair bit and the one on my Z10 is total junk compared to my daughter's iPhone. In fact some times mine just refuses to activate. Our company dont buy BB anymore so when my Z10 craps out I have no choice but to use an iPhone. Being the dinosaur that I am I'm in no hurry.......:ashamed:

Still got my BBerry Torch. Using my sons Samsung right now and ain't got a clue. Can send and receive a text and that's it. Not a real techy type and always afraid I'm gonna delete or screw something up. Torch till she dies I guess.

I loved my Torch. The battery on that sucker would last 3 times what the Z10 does.

My torch took a swim in the hot tub one night. That's how I ended up with the Z10 upgrade :)

How is the battery life on your iPhone? I have to plug my Z10 in every night.

I've only had a t the night so time will tell. Did you update your z10. The newest release has allot of battery saving updates including battery saving mode which it auto initiates when the battery gets low. Found I got far better life after that update.
Also make sure you turn off functions you don't use. Wifi when not at home. Bluetooth. Proximity etc.
Also apps you do use. Ensure they aren't allowed to access location services all the time but rather when you use them. Same as auto or background refresh where it's constantly seeking data even if you're not using it. Such as Facebook.

I have the latest updates. Will check on what I can turn off. Thx TR.

I had a iPhone for about 2 weeks from work.... when I threatened to see if it would float in the toilet and just wouldn't use it,( I waited to get back to the office to answer emails due to the sh**y iPhone touch type after a few emails which they also didn't like due too as I was onsite quite often for them.) I got myself a 9900 and agreed I can expense part of it and it is all I still have 4 years later. Charge lasts about 2 days now but I'm not switchin.
I looked at upgrading and the options and to switch to the new plans and get any new phone is more alot than my current plan and the price on a iPhone is beyond ridiculous, you are better off buying a dedicated device and a laptop for the insane prices people pay for their tech bling. Rogers and Bell both like the phones like the Iphone, they make $10's of millions each year on overage charges on data!
Staples has some unlocked Blackberry's on sale, as an FYI.
