Old man used to use lettuce leaves. Seemed to do the trick
My go to as bait for live trapping everything is sardines.....an MNR biologist was using them here to trap skunks, raccoons etc when the were on a Rabies Vaccine blitz for this area.
Had one go inside my trap, then broke out somehow.
Groundhogs are daytime animals and seem to be trap leery, at least that is what I have found.
I ended up getting this guy when he decided to stay by the hole opening rather than rush down, but a 22 LR on a golf course may not be allowed.
Carrots, sweet corn, peas, lettuce, strawberries......
Any chance of getting hold of Bill Murray and some C4????LOL…Good luck.
Beat me to it. Watched Caddyshack on the plane to Vegas a couple months back. Laughing my butt off.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iR0sWU1HzTE
no luck thus far with carrots and lettuce... gonna add some sweet feed to it tomorrow...
the owner has a permit to shoot them, but the location where these ones are, does not allow for a safe shot... and a conniber or leg hold trap not a good idea on a golf course lol
