Lakefront Promenade and West - May 16 - May 17
On Saturday had a boat full of boys who were more interested in Roulette Doritos and Miss Viki Chips. Washed lures from 2 to 4 in the 40 - 60 FOW over 90 - 100 range. Not even a sniff.
Sunday morning headed out early with a buddy. Headed out to due south of the Credit River and dropped the first line at 90 FOW at 6:00AM. White Paddle Flasher with a blue green spoon set at 85', went to get the second rigger line down and the 1st rod started jumping. First fish of the season in 5 minutes was a chinook of about 7-8 lbs.

Kept the boat pointed west towards the cement plant and stayed along the 90 - 105FOW of water mark.
Had my wire rod take a hit at about 7:15 but it came undone.
About 8AM had our second chinny in the boat - a little nicer about 12 lbs. Same set up as the first chinny except it was a yellow and black Nasty Boy set at 90'

That chinook was feeding well, when I opened it up at home, this was what was in the belly.

About 8:30 on the same rod, down deep at 95' over 100FOW I get this laketrout, my first ever Lake O Laketrout.

Had to pull lines at 9am as my buddy had to get back home.
All in all a fun morning on the lake. The lake was like glass.

Can't wait for the next time.
