My son has been keen to go on some hunting and fishing adventures for the last few years and lately he's been very interested in catching a pike. He's progressed from panfish when he was 3-4 and then bass last year the 1.5lb smallmouth on his ultralite was the "whopper" he talked about all the time. His casting has come along and after a good day on Friday for my brother and I it was his turn to get some slime.
Early Sunday was great, little bit of fog and we were off.http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...psv6blqo1q.jpg
He had a pike on while casting a minnow bait that came unhooked right at the boat but he took it in stride (Guess he's seen his dad do that a few times) and wanted more.

He didn't have the biggest bird's nest of the day.

Took me almost an hour sitting in my living room today to get ^that^ one out.
We trolled a bit form spot to spot and he got a hit. As I was bringing in my line I had a hit as well and uncle had to do the double net job

I was more excited about the father/son double header for his first pike then he was about the toothy fish he got to bring home for his family to eat.
