Hi guys, thinking about getting a family travel trailer, nothing too big maybe 20-25ft or so.... Just looking for a good family campground a couple hours from the GTA....Ideally one that has a bit of space/privacy between campsites. Fun/family and space would be the key words... If you have any possibilities please let me know....

I used to go to Bonnie Lake Campground just outside of Bracebridge when I had my rv on the road. Great beach area and was a pretty nice, friendly place the last we where there. Haven't been for a few years though.

Charleston Lake campground is consistently rated one of the top Ontario Prov Parks. We're heading there in July/Aug so i don't have any first hand knowledge of it yet, but do know that 2 of the families we're going with are taking trailers.
Lots on the Bruce peninsula great drive no 400 traffic
I check the Ontario park campground maps, they show exactly where each spot is and how much space is between camp sites.

Click on 'Choose your Park', and select 'maps, then 'park overview' in the middle of the page to see the site map.
I have been to Grundy and Killbear, both are good. Grundy is a bit more low key, Killbear offers more activities like seminars.

I always searched out a campground with waterfront sites where our boat was in sight of our trailer. The kids could walk to a beach but I wanted to leave my gear in the boat.....That was why we finally took up Crown land camping.
There is a ton of information available for free regarding camping in Ontario - www.campinginontario.ca is one of them - you can get a free directory - just google camping in Ontario and you will see loads of available information - an example - www.sunsetcountry.net - there are many other similar sources - also as mentioned you can get a parks directory of PPs and what is available at each - I've been camping in Ontario for years - at different campgrounds with my slide-in camper - I got all kinds of information concerning RV camping -
