Activists release Mink

Man these 'activists' are uneducated when it comes to the animals the purport to save. Releasing animals that only know captivity is a death sentence, slow and painful in most cases.

Yes. Better they starve or are flattened by a car or become someone else's dinner because they don't have the learned skills to survive on their own.

It's got nothing to do with animals, it's got to do with control.
Well paid and funded manipulators in California getting naive Canadian pawns to carry out acts of terrorism.
I hope they are identified, but I have no expectation the farmer will see any justice.

Usually these things involve a small group of individuals who do a number of crimes in a local area. Usually it's a group of like-minded students who find each other and escalate into this kind of stuff through that group dynamic where they have to prove to each other how committed they are. They do their thing for several years but then they grow up and scatter and it comes to an end.

For several years in the 1990s there was a group of people in Guelph who were running around doing stuff like this.

Over the past few years there has been a string of incidents through Norfolk, etc. So a new group of students at another school.

St. Mary's is a bit far afield for them. Might be a new group. Or maybe they're just ambitious.

There have been a lot of these attacks in NS. My Aunt has either the largest or one of the largest Mink farms but luckily they have never been hit.

Makes me wonder if they have security cameras etc at the facility that was hit, with the money invested you'd think that would be a given.....does you Aunt have intrusion protection ?

To be honest I don't know if they do. I suspect this day an age they must. They didn't back in the 1980's but they also were not as big I think she has around 20 thousand mink.

One would think that the farmers should invest a couple of german shepherds. You could almost choke on the irony of animal rights activists being bit by an animal while trying to free other animals. I heard the reward is $75000; I should go undercover with the antis for that kind of cake.

The only problem with the dogs is that the owner can be charged if he knows they will bite someone.If they will not bite tresspassers,what good are they?. Even if someone is robbing you blind,you could be charged for having a cross dog.Makes a lot of sense eh!!! Personally,if someone has broken in to your house and is robbing you I could care less if a dog tore their throat out.

I suspect they smell like Occupy or Idle types. But for 75 G's you could put up with a lot of stink !
