Thanks John, just what I needed to start my day. This story makes me physically ill on so many levels. I guess the most basic is that it is being imposed wholly without control where the taxpayer's dollars are being spent freely on this idealogical science project.

The Liberal government hasn’t stopped there. Even if the municipality has the backbone to refuse the bribe, it has set the rules so that without explanation the government can still award the energy company the contract. If that happens, the energy company gets to despoil the rural area without paying the municipality a cent. The bribe is now tinged with blackmail.
If they want to install this put it in the areas where they voted for the _ _ _ ch. The government should have offered to split the cost with people to put on the roofs of their houseswho wanted it and get some of the 500 areas that were said to be good sites for hydro dams in ontario under way doesn't cost much to let water spin a turbine

You get what you vote for. Liberal voters should be footin the bill on all these fiasco's.
They are only interesred in other peoples money.
