Excited to be on the waiting list for a Spinone puppy. If all goes well we will have him or her by March. Things just aren't right without a dog in the house and in the field.
It will be a fantastic experience for my kids who have never experienced the puppy training stages.
Any members out there with a Spinone?

What made you chose spinone?
I would highly recommend introducing yourself to your local NAVHDA chapter. You will be hard pressed to find anyone with Spinone experience to help you through the training process outside of this group.
I grew up with a Springer, had a English Setter, trained Labs and took in a rescue dog along the way. All of which were great hunting dogs and companions. My wife and I decided it was time to try something out of the ordinary. After quite a bit of deliberation (over a year) and research we decided the characteristics of a Spinone would be a good fit for our family. Talking with the breeder we chose sealed the deal. They impressed me not only with their ability to address all my concerns/questions but also the excitement and enthusiasm they had when talking about their dogs.
It's always great to read of someone who will be getting a spinone and actually hunt him/her! We've owned three and none have been a disappointment. They've all done the job we've trained them to do. We too hope to get a pup in the new year, our old 15+ yr. old Bruno having passed in June. House seems empty with just one.
