Like that ,planning on doing something like that once im finish with my cabin up north for now i seeded my secptic bed with clover and once the clover was 5" tall early October they were all over it twice a day

My best success with wheat is a late season planting to prevent the grain from turning into seed. This also ensures continued food after the snow receeds. Very important to expecting does. Rye/winter wheat, can't keep them off.
They sure do love that turnip after a frost.They're just starting yo dig em up now in my plot. They've been eating the tops off them for a month or so
