Hard work in training pays off

This year was my pup's second hunting season. We worked together in training since day one. We part took in various hunt test and he has gain his titles as a started hunter, junior hunter and working certificate. I couldn't be any happier with his ongoing development and having him in the duck blind or in the field.

I truly understand the relationship between gun dog and owner. I rather see my dog doing a long difficult retrieve then shooting my limit on mallards.

Just wanted to say that if there is anyone starting out- then this forum and members have great amounts of knowledge and thanks for everyone who provided me advice.

Nice looking dog, congrats.

Couldn't agree more - this is my second season hunting my dog and it's truly become my primary enjoyment in the blind vs. Shooting a limit. I'm at the point where I almost want to let others do the shooting and I'll work the dog! It's just too fun watching the dog work and respond to all the hard work we built into our relationship.


Couldn't have done it either without these forums and tips from other sources on the Web.

Went on a duck hunt with a friend of mine and just sat back and watched my dog do all the work and picking up. I would sooner work the dog as well and pick up for others.
