I watched a video a long time ago , where a hunter, going to his stand , crossed several deer runways, Had a rag soaked in doe in heat scent tied to his boot with a shoe lace. I do this and have had a lot of bucks, come in with their nose to the ground and usually not paying attention. When you get to where you are going to watch. Hang the rag in a tree or bush, upwind , so the rag will cover your scent. I carry a small glass jar to keep the rag in when you are not using it. It worked again today, a nice 8 point.
