Do we still have an MNR?
Contacted the MOE , they put me onto MNR because of "habitat destruction". So contacted them through their web page (seems to be the only way). So about 5-6 weeks ago got a call from the woman at MNR who told me they were sending out everyone short of the national guard within 2 days. Buddy has drained pond which left hundreds of fish dead on shore and the birm he bull dozed out upper left in pic that used to be all wet land. No show with the MNR. Got hold of the woman I spoke to, left messages. I've been put on ignore. I guess it's not a money maker so their avoiding it.

rules and laws are only worth a thing if they are enforced.
we have plenty of rules (some better than others), not many being enforced.
the current generation is not the "veteran" generation who were raised to obey the rules by default.
today everybody wants to be "smart", screwing others is part of daily live and if too many can get away with it, more will follow.

As weak as this suggestion sounds. Call your MPP. A provincial agency not doing anything under enforcement with a very obvious violation, they can sometimes "light a fire" where needed.

I would contact your mpps office and write a piece for your newspaper to show how the mnrf responds to calls it gets from people. also try your community office they may have a different person to contact

Try to find a sympathetic news reporter (tv, paper, radio?) and see if you can get them to at least have a look-see? That might generate some interest with the MNR? But really, I find it hard to believe that even a CO would not be interested in this? It's a wonder there are any CO's left as I'm sure their moral must be down knowing they are fighting a losing battle with budget cuts and dis-interest with the higher up mucky mucks?

Give your local conservation authority a call. See what they can do
http://www.rvca.ca/ if you're in ottawa

As far as i am concerned MNR was dismantled years ago. But we do have 1.2 Billion dollars being spent on 25,000 Syrian refugee's arriving for Christmas with no background checks or health checks being done. How's that for a stocking stuffer ! You can thank the Temporary PM for that one ! Leave poor old St. Nick out of this fiasco !

Most MNR staff have been kinda busy in our area with the different hunting seasons. Could be the beaurocraps in the office have not been passing on all messages. They take it on themselves to "lighten the load" without the COs even finding out.
Might call your township politicians as they can sometimes go thru the "backdoor" on something like this...

If the pond is on private property does "Buddy" not have control over what happens to it? If its public property or part of a watershed that flows through you might have a case. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
