Havalon knives
I just ordered a Havalon knife. I used a buddies this week and man it's crazy sharp. I could not make up my mind between the Pirata or the larger Baracuda so I ordered both. LOL the Pirata iis the one I used and it was great just a bit small for a few uses. I was not crazy about the Pirats plastic handle to I paid a few extra bucks for the Metal handle. Amazon says it will be @ my door this week... :)

I have the this knife, good for skinning and other small game. It spends as much time as I do in the field. Enjoy!

I first saw those in an episode of Meat Eater. I was intrigued. Make sure you get replacement blades. After a couple of large animals, you'll want to swap it. They look neat, but I don't like the idea of consumable blades. I prefer sharpening.
Please keep us posted of its performance once you get it. I'm still intrigued.

My concern about this type of knife is the longevity of the company. If it tanks then your knife will eventually be useless.

Havalon would seem to be here to stay but that's a reason to steer clear of the various knock-offs.
Hank Shaw is a fan of these knives, and he cuts up a lot of animals. Me, I'll never buy one, because then I'd have to wonder what to do with all my sharpeners....

I bought mine a few years ago. Love it, and got 100 replacement blades. I use it all the time, cutting roast into small pieces for the Bears.

The blades are a standard blade used by surgeons, don't think there would be a problem sourcing them. I have had one for a couple of years, like it. It stays on my 4 wheeler , all the time. Ready for whatever old243
