I've had no problems. Go for it.
Also I'm pretty sure 10 is the standard these days. New computers come with so it better be ok.
I tried it Terry and really didn't like it mostly because I'm inept at the computer. Other than the norm I don't need it to do much more for me. Once downloading it I found it hard to manipulate through the different functions, where as with windows 7 I knew where everything was. Guess one can say I don't like change. So I reverted back to windows 7 and that was easy to do if you do it within a 30 day window, and I didn't loose anything I had on here either prior to going to windows 10.
But for anyone that is comfortable making there way around a computer would find it useful. Again, just me...
Well I'm far from being a computer guy but I don't like Windows 8.
I wondered about this update to "10 " myself, but after I spoke with my neighbor who is on his computer a lot , he tried I and said he went back to " Windows 7 home premium " which we have , he said to stay with it
each to their own....I have windows 7 on my desktop & 10 on my laptop...both work great and 10 is okay once you get used to it...change is hard but i've been using it for a bit and getting used to it...going to update the desktop shortly! remember that in the near future there will not be any updates for 7 as windows did with their other obsolete programs.
10 has lots of built in spyware that is difficult to turn off. I would keep running 7 as long as possible. I think Microsoft is going to see people aren't going to be lining up in droves to upgrade.
Personal;y,I will be making the switch to Linux when Windows 7 is no longer supported unless there are major positive changes to 10.
I had multiple problems with windows live mail and getting some wifi things to migrate and work, camera would not after multiple attempts. Back to windows 7 until they get their chit sorted out.
