I must admit I didn't see a lot of his movies (I'm not into Harry Potter ) but I loved him in Die Hard. One of my favourite "bad guys" from the movies for sure. RIP Alan
He was also in the movie Quigley Down Under starring Tom Selleck , and Starred with Kevin Costner in Robin Hood as the bad guy sheriff of Nottingham.He was great in bad guy roles , he had the look.
Yup, best of the bad guys. Quigley and Prince of Thieves are 2 of my fav movies.
He was also in Dogma, Galaxy Quest, The Butler, Alice in Wonderland and the 2005 version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (amongst other films). While his biggest role was in Harry Potter (I admit I didn't see the movies but I know they are big), he was an accomplished actor previous to that movie franchise. He was an extremely gifted actor and as Oddmott put it the "best of the bad guys" despite Robin Hood being the last true bad guy role he took on.
