We are all pretty quick to pile on police when they go rogue but you also need to thank them for the heroic stuff too. This is amazing. It takes a special kind of person to risk life like this :thumbup:

Great that he saved the dog and both of them are OK. This time of year it's so critical to keep dogs under control near any waterways. This could have had some pretty tragic consequences.

Sorry but that's how I feel.
crazy or not, that guy has the spirit LEOs should have!
it's not a job like any other - way too many sign up to have a save over-payed union job! the amount of compensation they get is incredible when you think how many just sit around playing with their phones at the roadside or watch traffic at a construction site.
very refreshing to see that some are worth every single penny and even risk their lives to rescue a dog

That guy is top shelf. Good story.
Although admirable, not sure if this is guts or stupidity, gotta think his CO ripped him a new one for risking his life for a dog, guy dies in the river, family is devastated, hundreds of thousands in insurance paid out, impact on the force, etc. etc.
