atv battery
Hey all, once again looking for your help. The old arctic cat I bought last year came with a even older Polaris battery and now I have to replace it. I don't know were I should be going to get one or brand. Any advice as always is great.
Thank you Don

Find a store called Total Battery in your area and take your old battery in and get an Oddessy brand atv battery. Oddessy has high cold cranking amps and longer reserve capacity than anything you will find at canadiantire

Always got mine from Walmart for my old Suzuki King Quad...best prices around!

Wilson is right. A battery dealer has a much better choice than even a Polaris or Arctic Cat dealer. Plus they will know why a certain battery is best. Around here Birds Creek Muffler calls his supplier who has 100s of batteries in the computer while other stores just look on the shelf for one of the same size......

Thanks guys . I will look around for a battery supplier that has several types.

Make sure it's an AGM battery. They handle the shake rattle and rolling better.

Thank you for the advice on the AGM was not sure what to get.

Go to Royal Distributing... they sell Yuasa batteries... you can get an AGM that you fill at home, so you know it's freshly filled. Pop the sealed acid container onto the battery, let it drain into the battery, sit for the minimum time period, then charge and finishing setting the caps. Now you've got a fully sealed AGM battery that is brand new.
Royal had the best price I found too.

YallsMart, Royal anywhere but a ATV dealer. That Polaris battery at the Polaris dealer is $240 IIRC.

If you buy at Royal make sure you do not buy the cheap battery they may have listed for your bike. The best ATV battery I ever had was the original Honda which I replaced last fall in my 2003 Rancher.
