Hullett Marsh Youth Waterfowl Clinic (Sept 16/17)

On September 16th and 17th, the Friends of Hullett are hosting a Youth Waterfowl Clinic at the Hullett Marsh. This 2 day event is for licensed, youth hunters ages 12-17 who are looking to gain education and hands-on experience with waterfowl hunting. The highlights of the clinic include a Waterfowl Hunting Demo and Mentored Waterfowl Hunt which will provide youth with the knowledge necessary to become safe and successful waterfowl hunters.

The Waterfowl Hunting Demo includes topics on gun safety, duck calling, hunter concealment and decoy placement.

Volunteers and members of the Hullett Marsh Waterfowler Association will accompany youth on the Mentored Waterfowl Hunt passing on their knowledge about duck identification, cleaning techniques, wetland habitat education and nesting structure conservation.

This clinic is a great opportunity to come enjoy and appreciate the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area and to gain valuable hunting techniques.

Participants will receive 2 duck calls, 6 duck decoys, 2 hats, OFAH membership, shotgun shells, Waterfowl ID book and a cooler bag.

We are accepting youth applicants on a first come - first serve basis based on registration forms submitted.

We will create a waiting list just in case youth applicants change their plans.

As of today we have 7 of the 10 youth spots registered.

We are pleased to announce that all 10 spots for the youth have been filled!
