hey folks.
just moved to sudbury and in the move the replacement try basically shattered. Everything I see on TSC has the large crate try going for 60 bucks, the price of what i paid for the crate on a deal.
anyone ever find a replacement for less?

No idea on pricing or sizes but Ren's Pet Depot may have the size you need.
Petsmart sell the crate trays in various shapes and sizes.
I bought a 5'x7' 1/2" thick rubber stall mat from TSC for around the $50-$60 mark and cut it down to size. I was able to do a couple crate mats and still have a good sized anti-fatigue mat for in front of my work bench. It cut down fairly easily with a utility knife and a straight edge. TSC has three different sizes and they've almost always got one of them on sale in the flyer.
Depending on the dog and amount of time the dog is spending in the crate I have found the metal floor to be the best. The plastic ones are an invitation for the dog to start to chew on the raised edge as well as the rubber mat type. If your dog is in and out every hour or two then the plastic/rubber floor mat should be fine. A big shank bone usually will occupy a destructive dog for a couple of hours at a time in a crate.
I'll admit I was concerned about her chewing the rubber at first but with the weight and thickness of it my pup can't get it bunched up and it fits snug to the sides of the crate so she can't get at an edge. It's definitely not going to stop leaking liquids though :)
