This is a tough one. The father who owns the firearms hasn't committed any offense,so,why must he surrender his property? That's a fundamental Charter violation. The son wasn't ordered to stay with his father as a condition of his probation,but,because he lives there and has a 10 year firearms possession ban,the Judge may order that firearms can't be on the premises. It'll be interesting to see how the Judge rules.
