What do you guys think of salmo lures? they seem to fly quite a bit under the radar in canada/ontario other then seeing the odd novelty pike replica in someones tackle box. They have quite the large range of seemingly highquality lures but you never hear about them much?
I have a buddy that uses them and loves them, best lure he said he has ever used. They have a crazy action on them but are hard to find, one place that buddy gets them from was a tackle store out of North Bay that I cant remember the name of. For me only used the lipless crank for ice fishing jigging for lakers and pickeral and they worked very well. The had a real slow descend with amazing side to side action on the way down and great action on the way up. I liked their low profile for slow days as the one I bought was 2.5 inch blue with silver bottom. Cabelas had the lipless on clearance so I ordered them online. For the other baits just have second hand info.

We troll the mini cranks down here on Lake St Clair for walleye and are very productive, there expensive but work. I've had some success on Rice Lake with them, caught crappie, perch, bass and walleye on Rice.
I previously only had the salmo minnow 3+inch pike and redhead lures and didn't have much luck on the northern lake i normally fish near parry sound maybe 1 small pike between them ever then at the west arm in nippissing the redheaded minnow caught a couple smaller pike. The most recent one I bought and used was the surface skinner with the dorsal fin I caught some bass with it at my lake amazing finish/paint job on it.
The lures look fantastic and are quality stuff i came across a cheap store on ebay and have loaded up on a variety of stuff from Turbo Jack for musky in nippissing and sliders, executors, bullheads, hornets, darter for the northern pike, walleye , bass fishing i do near parry sound .
I am normally mainly a rapala guy but with the low dollar lure prices are through the roof I am going to give these a go should be fun when i get the chance to test them out, this year the newest lure (that i have bought) that I have had a chance to use quite a bit is the rebel bumble bug which i have had great success with from masses of smaller fish to some really big bass on it.
I've had great luck with them. Found my favourite at Martin River Store
