MNRF sued for property damages.

This should be interesting....another lawsuit for the Wynne cartel.

Really? Some Muskoka cottagers are suing the government over flooding caused by the weather. Their insurance company must have just laughed at them when they tried to file a claim. What ambulance-chasing shyster lawyer agreed to take that ridiculous case? This is just a guess,but,there's no charges laid against the government for corruption or collusion. This'll never see the light of day.

I sure hope the crowd in Attawapiskat don't hear about this. They get flooded every year.

At Attawapiskat, they have no control over the water at flood time, however the Muskoka Lakes can have their waters controlled by dams which are controlled by the MNRF.
They are able to draw down the water levels to prevent this type of flooding, which they evidently did not do.

I would tend to agree with this. The area my cabin is located (not on the lake directly or downstream) is controlled by a dam that is monitored and controlled by the MNRF. If some sort of neglect can be shown, there might be a case? Its their dam and they have taken it upon themselves to maintain and moniter the water levels (above and below). Affected land owners have come to rely on the MNRF due diligence?
