What is on my deer?

Got this pic on the cam a while back and was wondering what is all over her back??

Im not an expert by any means but to me it looks like deer fibroma

I would say ticks or flys but if I had to guess I would bet ticks

Those sure look like ticks,to me. I've seen it before. Really,I've never seen tick infestations this bad on Deer and Moose since the 80's.

Covered in ticks. Better check yourself good if you hunt that area. I have 2 buddies now who have contracted Lymes. One in Gananoque and another in Long Point. Neither of them even hunt.

Can u eat that? I mean if u shot it would it be worth eating?

Could they be burrs or deer or horse flies? I figured ticks would be under the fur and much smaller.

They are fully engorged. Until they attach and start feeding they are tiny.
