Are you able to use rounds like Remington .22 Thunderbolts for small game? I wasn't sure because of them being lead rounds and with waterfowl it has to be steel.
Thanks in advanced!

A 22 LR is a rifle, you cannot use a rifle for waterfowl, the only restriction on non-toxic is for waterfowl.
You can legally use a 22 LR for small game in Ontario.
I didnt mean for waterfowl i was just saying that i know you need steel for waterfowl. The .22 will be used for squirrel and rabbit.

Yes, you can legally use 22 LR lead bullets for rabbits and squirrel in Ontario.
Please take a look at the regulations, there is information in there that has the legal firearms used for each type of animal.
It is not steel for waterfowl, it is non-toxic shot. You cannot use a rifle for hunting waterfowl, no matter if you have steel bullets or not. The waterfowl rules are federal, not the same as rabbit and deer.
I'd recommend hollow points
I don`t Thunderbolts are a good choice . I use subsonic. Hollow points work a lot better.
.22....I say you are going to need to be patient for rabbits. In the Ottawa area woods, they spook at the last second and run like the dickens. Now if we are talking about the street where I live in the city...I could shoot 10 before getting off it.... But noooo, I have to drive 20 minutes outside the city and stomp bush all day to se 1-2 and miss...lol The life of hunting. No better life.
