$99.00 Canoe carrier

Looked at buying a gizmo to transport my canoe over land so i wouldn't have to carry it....Priced them and they were way to expensive and reviews were poor....Most reviews said "The canoe wouldn't stay on" I was at Lowe's and saw this hand dolly....I took the handles and the plate off the bottom....Your left with what you see in picture....Swift tied some swimming noodles on the parts that come in contact with the canoe....Use the straps i secured my canoe to vechical to secure the wheels to canoe...This dolly is rated for 600lb and cost $99.00.... Dolly had red handles and red plate on bottom....If you want to change it back to dolly it takes 4 bolts and two pins....This thing stays put with one strap 2 may be better over VERY uneven ground....I had no problem rolling over rocks and roots....

It may work well for a canoe but I know with my kayak it was still pretty hard keeping the front end up and hauling it up over hills. I use a kayak cart on which I installed larger balloon tires and I can haul that thing anywhere. It was also in the $100 range. TC

I have a very beefy canoe setup....My outboard and canoe weight in at 150lb thats not including fish finder, battery, or camping gear....i can load it all in and drag away....The store bought cart reviews were painful to read....Even with the most expensive carts people complained of their canoes hopping off....Great thing about this little thing.... I keep the handles in my gear box on my canoe....if i need a deer/bear drag it doubles as that....If I need to return my outboard to my vechical.... pop the handles on... 2 pins is all it takes....strap the outboard on.... lift and your away....It gives you a ton of different options....And if you need to move a refrigerator just use your canoe cart....

That's funny. I use a appliance cart to haul deer out too. The only thing I found I had to do was get a wider axle, otherwise it was too tippy going over even small logs. TC
