Could be tough to find. With steel mandated for waterfowl there's not much use for lead larger than #4 except for buckshot. May have to special order it or check our gun shows.
I can still buy the lead shot (25 lbs bags) and reload my own.
I see Al Flaherty's normally stocks Winchester Varmint X BB's, currently out of stock though. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they have an order coming in.
If you haven't done so already I suggest you check with Elwood Epps and/or Williams Arms, both are top-notch with regards to helping out their customers.
Years ago I hunted jacks heavily and 3" lead BB's was standard medicine, everyone carried it, not so these days. I see that it's now considered a "boutique" load, they stock in in box of tens and I'm sure charge accordingly. Couple of years back I was visiting a friend and he showed me his personal stash of lead BB's, he bought them in bulk about ten years ago when he noticed that supplies were running low. Without a word of a lie... the guy must have had about 20 boxes of Federal 3" BB's in his cabinet, no wonder everyone else is having a hard time finding them!
Winchester is still making larger lead, I bought a bunch of #2 a little while ago, it is a heavy game load.
I cannot seem to find the load listed now though.
I say reloading your self is the best answer
Elwood Epps usually stock them. I use 3" Lead BB for jacks. Very expensive though but really how many shots do you get in a season now.
