They are considered a migratory bird and that is where the regs are located in the migratory bird regs. You need a migratory bird stamp (and small game) and need to use steel shot.
Is dove hunting any good in southern Ontario?
It can be!!
Corn fields, especially partially cut ones are awesome. But if you dump a bird in the standing corn, it takes a while to locate them by going row to row. A dog is great for finding them, but I found they flushed even on pointing dogs. I really enjoy the walking aspect, lots of exercise in the warm fall days. Plus, they are very tasty. Small, but top-notch table fare.
