After staining my stock I decided to dress it up with some bling (Barrel,lock,muzzle cap,thimbles and butt plate). I still think it looks a bit clunky as in should be slimmer. Oh well, guess I'll hafta build another one. LOL..............Daniel

Interesting, when I bought my CVA .45 Kentucky was was taken aback at how thin the stock was. It seemed odd, I was expecting the old guns to be made with a bit more meat/girth to hold on too. Once I started to see more of them I realized it was normal and probably made like that to help keep it lighter (weight) as they were carried a long way hunting each day.Quote:
