Hello
I'm thinking of keeping my eyes out for some Bismuth shotshells in 16 gauge...has anyone tried this ammo ??? Would be hunting Woodies and Mallards .
Or any thoughts on this particular gauge for hunting would be appriciated

Nothing wrong with that gun and gauge for waterfowl, shells will probably be bit pricey,
There are some recipes out there for Bisthmus loads. I try to load my own 16 ga. because it's so hard to get. I think you will see more of it around in a few years, as people start to re-discover the 16 ga.
If you only want to shoot it a couple of times, then factory bismuth loads will do. If you want to shoot it on a regular basis, reloading is where it's at. PM me if you want more info on reloading them.
How easy is it to find Bismuth shot.....and is it affordable
If your planning on hunting a lot with it, just skip the 16 and get a 12, ammo will run you broke. Otherwise, Kent does sell a Bismuth load for the 16.
If you're not married to Bismuth....I picked up a x25 box Nitro Steel at SAIL for $21...They had a good variety of shells to choose from.
So far pleased with their performance on crows :)
