Well, my battery was dead, so I replaced it. Trouble is that I installed it backwards, and didn't realize it until I tried to start it, and herd a loud pop sound.
I now have hooked up the battery correctly, but nothing happens when I turn the key.
My question is, where do I start looking? Did I just blow a fuse, of did I do some real damage to the computer ? Advice is most welcome.
Check your fuses. If you're lucky, one of them blew, and all is well. If you're not, you may have fried the starter.
Does the speedo and gauges come up when you turn the key on?

It looks like there is nothing between the starter and the main power, nasty. Since you essentially charged the frame as positive you could have blown a number of things. Check out the fuse block if you can find it, look under the seat and under the console, that is where they are on the old Yammy we had.
There are also fusible links, I hate those things.
Anyway, do you have any power to anything now?
Fuse. I just did this a few weeks ago. 30A on my KingQuad
I believe that under the headlight pod there is a small plastic "hood" and there is a fuseable link under there, possibly two.
On my Sportsman 700 the circuit breakers/fuses are under a panel-cover in front of the headlight, partially under the rack. There are 3 of them IIRC, and they are in about 2.5"x1" black plastic pouches. (I think you have to remove the rack for removing that cover).
