Drive/Boat-in Outpost Cabin - within 2 hours of North Bay

Hi all,

We are looking to take a fishing trip this September. Generally looking for consistent Walleye - but a mix-n-match of others is OK as well. One of our members won't fly - so we need a main camp/launch that we can drive to - however - we are looking to sleep/stay in a remote outpost cabin somewhere on the lake served by the main lodge.

Want to stay private. No Quebec. Also want to bring our dog.

We are located near Ottawa - so would like to stay within 1.5 to 2 hours north of North Bay - I guess the Temagami region or somewhere north of Hwy 17 between North Bay and Sudbury.

Any suggestions for me?

Too bad for you no Quebec. Kipawa would be perfect. Careful though, it has a way of getting into your blood, and that's a good thing. :)
