Tick Removal Tool

I was at the vets on Wednesday and debated and discussed getting a tick treatment for my Boxer, the veterinarian, especially after learning I was a Turkey hunter suggested I buy Tick Twister, a tool made to remove the tick from dogs, she said it works for humans too! Boxers are short hairs, only one layer of fur, so finding and removing ticks is relatively easy.

Any one who spends a lot of time outdoors these days should have one or more of those tools, they have been out for a number of yeras and have proven to be very effective.

Pulled tons of ticks off of dogs and myself and never once did I need a special tool to do so it seems more like marketing bs.

The concern with removing ticks it to ensure that you do not squeeze the tick and force it's blood or stomach contents into your or the dog's body. Also to make sure you do not break the head off below the skin. Mind you, if this does happen and the tick is not infected, like most ticks, then there is no problem, the only problem occurs if that tick is one of the rare ones that is infected.

The tool makes it almost fool proof and a lot better than fumbling with tweezers etc.

Hard to call something a marking ploy when it costs about as much as a cup of coffee and makes a task easier.

Saw a video today where a women used peppermint oil.. put a few drops on the tick.. the tick removed its head and walked away..

Saw a video on a tick that was attach to a person. Less than 20 seconds after putting on a dab of peppermint oil . The tick released and was on the run.

Lol, must have been the same one.

I've always just used tweezers. Fooled with various tools but tweezers work best for me.

Pretty hard to leave the five digits per hand that evolution developed and have worked quite well so far.
Companies aren't happy unless they are trying to reinvent the wheel or convince you that somehow before this tool a wide spread epidemic of half or improperly removed ticks were clogging up the er.
