I don’t sell this method of hunting but if you are carrying a climber or hang on and like to be a mobile hunter this is great
Saddlehunter.com has a ton of information on saddle hunting

I think this style of hunting is really cool.
Personally, I enjoy tree climbing and use a rock climbing harness to do so. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the comfort required for a long sit, but the price tag for a fancy saddle is a real shocker for me. Very little fabric for very many dollars!
How do you ascend? I use the doubled-rope technique which requires 30 lbs of rope, a throw line / throw bags, and lots of noisy attempts to get it into the tree (again, I'm not doing this while hunting). My climber sets up and climbs fairly quietly for "pack in pack out" style hunts. For everything else I just hang stands.
There are many methods to climb a tree.
1, SRT with preset trees using paracord... this is not noisy if it is preset. This is something you are somewhat familiar with.
2. Climbing sticks with a aider attached. Three muddy pro, lone wolf sticks or hawk heliums sticks get you 24 feet if you use aider or eitiers on them. That method weighs less than 7 pounds
3. WE steps and aiders pack light and small
4. Screw in steps or bolts where allowed.
5. Climbing spikes where allowed.
Most climbing methods are between 3 and 8 pounds and pack up much smaller than your climber. A tree saddle and most of these methods are comparable in cost to any climber, lighter, quieter, more compact and safer. The cost is comparable to a hang on and sticks or a good climber.
These saddles are well made.
I am not trying to promote a web site that I own or anything but saddlehunter.com is a wealth of information on this method of hunting. It is a growing way to hunt for mobile hunters in the USA> But in Canada very few hunters hunt this way.
If you already climb trees this may be a great way for you to hunt. You can hunt the best tree with this method instead of the tree that suits you climbing methods.
