Rubber Nets

I have several nets in my arsenal, none of them rubber. I guess it's time to get a one since I'm fed up with untangling lures hooks n fish? Just wondering if there are good ones as opposed to bad ones? I don't want to break the bank, but any advice of brands?

Get one with a deep basket. Some are not very deep and makes it hard to land larger fish.

I never really had a hard time with regular nets. To be honest I don't really like the rubber ones. They don't seem to be as deep.

Rubber dip the ones you have. I never tried it but I’m sure it would work

I've been looking at them as well so will be interested in the replies. All I know is that the denser or thicker the mesh, the harder it is to move them through the water and that's a feature that one should consider.
You have to consider that your fish are usually landed by the other character in the boat and they aren't always very good at it.
Personally I don't like a deep net but wait til the fish is on the surface pointed in the proper direction and make the trap in one swift move with the whole shebang ending up in the bottom of the boat.
A deeper net is needed for larger fish but I don't keep them anyway and prefer to release them while still in the water so I can get away with a shallower version.

Good points to consider, thanks for that! As for characters, I'm usually that guy? My one fishing partner hums the old tune for the batman show and then throws in the words "net man". I don't know why I bring him with me?

I have a rubber net with a telescoping handle that works great for Bass and Walleye,but,for some reason,Trout think it's a trampoline.

Lucky strike makes one with the netting coated in rubber, it is light and deep and I have not had a tangle in it yet.

What bukduc said, no stretch, no trampoline effect. If you don't snooze, you might get lucky.

I also recommend a rubber coated nylon net. It goes through the water easily, hooks come out easy, fish come out easy (when you want them to) they're easier to rinse off and are pretty easy on the fish if you are releasing them (this is the only place where they take 2nd to the totally rubber ones).
