Black bear hunt

Just got back from our annual bear hunt at Burks Falls and the weather was not our friend. Rain and high winds kept us out of the bush for three of the four days. But on Saturday we finally got a break in the weather and one of our younger members harvested a nice 120 lb boar. Awesome shore lunches and a great group of hunters made for a great trip.

At our trappers mtg the MNR said they are likely to be having draws for bears next yr.

Nice work. Looks like a fun week. I hear you about about the weather. Rain showers with the odd snowflake at my place on Sunday - struggled to make 5 degrees. On Friday I was supposed to take down a big oak (7 foot circumference) on the edge of my driveway that is dying and sooner or later going to topple onto the drive. Not a chance with that wind.

Care to expand on that a little. Do you mean province wide? Or a specific WMU? Or a specific WMU where there is no current open season?
