Camlockbox

I have property adjacent to a public trail. Trespassers are a constant problem as they think all the land around is "conservation". I posted signs people took them all down.
Lately my trail cams are now being stolen off my land.
So my question is, do the Camlockbox's work? Are they worth the investment or should I just stop putting camera's out?

They are nice,sturdy and high quality,and if you put them up with cable lock,they are pretty secure.
You can double up with padlock and cable lock too.
However they may not stop thieves and vandals.
Only another camera taking their pictures while trespassing and vandalizing your place,and pictures presented to the cops will...............

I know some locals have had their lock boxes used for target practice. If it is just dog walkers that might not be your situation. I just make sure that the SD slot isn't locked so that trespassers have the option to steal the card instead of smashing the camera. Mounting high and aiming down is another option but this results in fewer pictures in my experience. YMMV

I've used one for two years and my camera is still with me. I had a camera stolen without the box. It prevents the nuisance theft but if they're serious they'll either bring the right tools or vandalize the camera. I wouldn't put a camera up anywhere near public land without it.

I pick up Trail Cam bear boxes off eBay for about $25 ...great investment. They lag bolt to the tree so if they want your camera they need a chainsaw....

Don't forget to get a lock that is bolt cutter proof..
