Doe and fawn jamboree

Tagged a spike opening morning just after sunup, since then haven't seen a thing until yesterday. Had a veritable herd of does and fawns in front of me at about 75 yards. I counted 12 deer total sadly nothing was following them. Waited in the dark until they had moved off then got out quietly. I think the cold and snow we got the last couple of days (zone 60 just east of Peterborough) has got them moving a little bit. Here's hoping week #2 brings the bruisers out of the swamp.
