They still exist, the numbers are dropping, there used to be one near Stratford but it is gone now.
Alternative livestock are not popular and they cost a lot to maintain, a lot more than cattle.
There was a beefalo farm not far from where I live, my wife remembers it when she was growing up but it is gone now too.
There still around, i saw one in grey county.
They all need to be illegal,including Deer farms,no exceptions.
Imagine how hard that would be to do when a local elk farm is managed/run by a recently retired high level MNR manager!!Quote:
