New deer hunter looking for tips

HI new to deer hunting, I'm hunting compound out if a tree stand my question is I'm only able to be about 12-13ft in the tree and the trees have no leaves or branches to help me blend in.

I have had quite a few doe come with in 10-15 yards at my bite of feed I put out but they stop and look at me quite often. Seen one buck but he didnt come near or look my way.

Am I better off hunting from the ground and putting some brush and sticks around to make a small blind.

I have seen at least 6 different bucks on my cam all at late night one was 8:30 am while at work was the only day time

Whats with the car?
Try hunting from the ground, sit on the ground with your back up against a tree, get very comfortable so you minimize your movements and mind the wind..stay about 20 yds from where you expect the deer to appear and have at it...

Where I have feed the deer there are two fiberglass boats
Not my property just glad to be able to hunt it

I second sitting on the ground , I have shot half my deer doing that exact thing.
When you stand out that bad in a tree stand they will see you almost everytime

id sit in the car...

If you have access to a climber use it. I can get up 30' or more with my climber. Deer have no idea I'm in the tree waiting for them... :)

Next season maybe set-up a ladder stand in the spring. The deer will get used to it & you will be golden come October. My ladder stand has been up for years & I shot a nice 6 point from it this season @ 10yards... :)

Me too! I’d try to utilize the car or boats....the deer are obviously used to them.

Those trees would be great for a climber to get up higher, the trees in the background seem to offer more cover. I would also look for areas with more understory in the forest, it looks to be very open at the spot where your stand is.

Are there any evergreen trees or copse of cedars around? After the leaves fall, a deciduous tree isn't great for concealment. Evergreens or cedars can provide coverage and wind breaks too from those wintery winds.

Ya ladder stand or something is what I'm thinking unfortunately I can't even go up 20ft the trees are pretty small
