Hey guys need to resight my gun used for coyotes. Mostly used for calling but we do push as well. What would you zero at? 100 yds? Thanks.

Depends on the area you hunt...but Yes I am zeroed for 100 yrds with my .223
I have changed the way I sight in my guns, I look more at the type of game being hunted and adjust based on the kill zone of the animal, this is referred to as Maximum Point Blank Range (MPBR).
I just worked up a load for the 222 Rem, the gun is zeroed at 215 yards which will give me an impact no higher than 2in above or below the cross hairs out to 250 yards. Your 22-250 depending on your load should push this out a bit further, you can use Hornady's ballistic calculator if you know the velocity and BC of the bullet and play with your zero's to see then test on the range.
The reason for this is that I now only need to know where 250 yards is within the field, if the animal spooks and runs I can still hold dead on and shoot as it moves away with no fear of needing to hold over.
