I'd like to know how the Frenchman manages to get his pelts off solid boards without using a belly wedge. I've torn pelts or had to re-soak them whenever I've forgot to put the wedge in. A good video. Thanks for posting!

Really, it's pretty easy,a solid slightly tapered board, Serge does up to 500 fox in a good year. The fur on the fox makes it easy to slide of the stretcher. Turning them at the right time is important but you can always use a damp cloth if to dry. Honestly the only two animals I use a wedge on are otter and fisher.
great info. i'll be sure to use if i ever connect with either. thus far they've proven to out wit me and also missing doesn't help.
