No idea how to make it solar heated but if you want a truly bomber winter proof tent that you can actually backpack with I would recommend a North Face Mountain 25. It will stand up to any amount of rain for any length of time and will also withstand virtually any snow load and will withstand 100 km/hr sustained winds. I have used mine in the Andes and the Himalayas and slept at 23,000 feet in -35 with howling wind. With the vestibule it is under 10 pounds. As for staying warm I just use a good sleeping bag (850+ goose down with a gore-tex shell) and a good insulation pad. With the right gear you can stay comfortable at -40 without any external heat.
All that said if you are using the term backpacking loosely and don't actually need to carry it on your back than there are other options that are cheaper and probably more comfortable like a small canvas tent that will accept a small wood stove.
Good info thanks ( Black tarp help with solar heating )
I would check out these two companies in the U.S.A.
They both make floorless shelters that you can run a stove in and you can carry the set-up on your back.
